Drabbletime! I sat and poked at Cael, Mira’s older brother. When I started RP:ing I had the image of a gentle older brother in mind, but then I sat and thought that this necessarily doesn’t have to be the full truth. Yes, he’s been gentle with Mira, but what Mira sees doesn’t have to be the reality (just like the gang has only seen pieces of how Mira really acts).

Anyhow - From what I remember of what I’ve read of Lalafell they’re extremely loyal to their family and value the bonds in a family more than anything… or something like that. It was a while since I read up on them – I mostly just read/write things once and then retcon as I go by.

Also, good to know – there are two kinds of Lalafell – the Plainsfolk and the Dunesfolk. The Plainsfolk have lighter skin and longer ears (hears /way/ better). The Dunesfolk are somewhat darker in skin tone, their eyes are luminous and often have little gemstones on their foreheads (resembling the Zodiac). I’ve said before that Mira is of the Dunesfolk, but I’m retconning this a little and giving her a pint of Dunesfolk. Not that it’ll change shit. Because I say so. I know my genetics thankyouverymuch. Plainly speaking their dad is a half-breed.

If we’re going to be chronological Cael is about 16-17 today, give or take a few months.

In case anyone is curious – I am aware of that the system states that a person has to study a subject to fully learn it, but the way I see it someone with a high intellect/spirit is as capable of showing signs of wild magic as say someone physically strong is capable of hitting someone and seriously injure them. As I see it what really needs to be studied is control. You already have the capability of a skill inside you – all you need to do is to learn how to utilize it.

’Ello boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. I’m toying around a little with the background of my character Mira, who’s a White Mage. Her mentor has so far been unnamed, mainly because I’m not the one who brought him into play. But my GM has yet to name him, so I’m kinda just fucking around and will give him the name Auron. Because of shits and giggles mainly and because of that challenge where I played through FFX with Auron as a Black Mage.

I’m also fleshing out her older brother Cael a little. Yes, I’m lazy and gave him the name of Cael. No, it’s not my baby Cael; this kid is a pure Lalafell. –ponders- he’s as protective as my Cael, but I really just wanted another four-letter name that contained a and e.
